The luminous painting from the ASSOCIO series by the emerging Lithuanian artist Paulina Simutytė.
Since 2015, the artist has been experimenting with two-tone paints – yellow and blue. By introducing a third element – rays of light – into the dialogue between yellow and blue, fire and water, the ASSOCIO paintings come to life: colors begin to blend, and the canvases transform into abstract, shimmering worlds, opening wider doors to the subconscious.
Includes frame with an illuminating LED power source, powered by electricity (EU plug). The light can be turned on or off, and the brightness can be adjusted with a switch on the painting frame.

Paulina Simutytė [b. 1991] is an artist whose work spans visual and interdisciplinary arts, theater, and music. Her paintings are dominated by abstractions, leading to associations, dreaminess, and unique interpretations from each observer. She uses canvas, artificial light, and acrylic paints, which pour layers of blue and yellow tones; the light element reveals a shifting perspective of space and colorful surprises. Her work invites viewers into a paradoxical experience – upon closer inspection, intricate details emerge, while stepping back, the composition flows into a whole. She begins her creative process by extracting pigments from rocks found in rivers, aiming to explore natural color palettes (released music and art album “Stone Poetry” [2022]).
Paulina's creative field also extends to theater, where she creates roles and sets in distinctly visual, musical performances – the action unfolds like living musical paintings (“Kafka Insomnia” [2020], “Vyras, kuris savo žmoną palaikė skrybėle” [2021]). Her installations highlight the synergy between art, music, and light, contemplating dreamy, archaic, and existential themes (“Alchemija” [2021], “Laikas gimti ir laikas mirti” [2021]). The artist also designs album covers and graphic scores. Her musical creation and vocal abilities are most prominent in her work with the group “lazy diamond’s underground” [since 2019].
