Collection: Exclusive Lithuanian Art

The Exclusive Lithuanian Art collection brings together works by artists whose place in the history of Lithuanian and Lithuanian diaspora art is firmly established – painters and sculptors recognised by museums, art historians and the international art market. A well-known name alone is not enough: we select only works that we consider characteristic of the artist's strongest period and in which the qualities the artist is valued for come through most clearly – a distinctive visual language, mastery of the medium and genuine artistic tension.

Here you will find the Andean visions of Jonas Rimša, the Parisian scenes of Vytautas Kasiulis, the expressionist works of Pranas Domšaitis, works by the Litvak artists Arbit Blatas, Samuel Bak and Théo Tobiasse, the existential imagery of Vincas Kisarauskas and works by other 20th-century masters. Together they trace the paths of Lithuanian art – from interwar modernism and exile to the nonconformist art of the Soviet period.

Every work is selected by TUMO Gallery and, where available, is accompanied by information on its provenance, exhibition history and literature. The collection is intended for collectors looking for works of lasting artistic and historical value.
