Silviane Léger (born 1945 in Lille) is a French sculptor. While studying at the School of Fine Arts in Lille, she became interested in monumental sculpture. Her first exhibition took place in Lille in 1978, followed by exhibitions in Paris in 1981 at the Musée du Luxembourg, and in various European countries (the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Italy) as well as in the USA (New York, Washington, and Orlando).
Silviane Léger created monumental sculptures for the towns of Faches Thumesnil and Villeneuve d'Ascq.
In 1996, she won the first prize for European Sculptor, and later was invited to participate in the European Capitals of Culture “Lille 2004” and “Ruhr 2010.”
