"Vytautas Ignas is precious to Lithuania not only because he is an extraordinarily unique artist. His worldview is infinitely close and understandable. Marveling at the poetic metaphors of centuries, exalting the natural essence of nature, he managed to intertwine widely perceived folk artistic traditions into modern rhythms of the world. The expression in his vibrant works never silences the distant echoes of Lithuanian songs; the symbolic fairy-tale poetics never fades, where the mythological image of the tree of life intertwines with Christian culture symbols, Lithuania's history and ethnography heritage, contemporary everyday life, and blossoming nature views."
