Vytas Bronius Kapociunas (b. 1943, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian-born Australian artist known for his work in printmaking, painting, and sculpture. After arriving in Australia in 1950 as a displaced person, he studied at the South Australian School of Art in Adelaide, where he later taught for nearly three decades. In 1964, he was awarded the national Goya Prize, which led to further studies and exhibitions in Spain, France, and England. His artistic career spans several continents, with periods of work and residence in Malaysia, South Korea, and the United States. Kapociunas is particularly recognized for his etchings and depictions of the Australian landscape and everyday life.
