In 1925, P. Abramovičius entered the Kaunas School of Art, and after 4 years, in 1929, he left for Israel and did not return to Lithuania. From 1935 to 1936, he studied in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Like other Jewish artists living in interwar Paris, P. Abramovičius leaned towards expressionism, and later, towards abstractionism.
He is regarded as one of the most prominent Israeli abstract artists.
