Pinchas Kremegne (1890-1981) - a globally recognized Lithuanian Jewish artist. Starting his career as a sculptor, he turned solely to painting from 1915. From 1909 to 1912, he studied at the Vilnius Art School, later moving to Paris to study at the Ecole de Paris, where he closely associated with M. Kikoine and Ch. Soutine. He painted in a distinctive style influenced by both Cubism and Impressionism. More than 50 Kremegne artworks have been sold at Sotheby's and Christie's auctions, with the highest-priced pieces fetching over 60,000 euros for collectors.
