Lulu Ngie (倪鷺露)
Born in 1972 in Fujian, China. Lives and works in Hong Kong. She graduated in painting from the Hong Kong Art School in 2006. Represented by Gallery EXIT, Hong Kong, where her solo exhibitions include Lines of Breath (2025), The Sensitive Body (2022) and Relax Until Distraction Comes (2019). Her work has been shown at Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Los Angeles Contemporary and ART021 Shanghai, and is held in the collections of M+ Museum, Hong Kong, and LUXELAKES·A4 Art Museum, Chengdu.Ngie uses simple, single-stroke lines — drawn in rhythm with her breathing — to depict a figure's gestures and posture as a reflection of its psychological state. The body itself becomes an introspective space.
