Created in 1980 for the famous Dutch collector G. Jan Rhebergen Jr., this work is dominated by a mystical, vertical composition. A purple accent highlights the central figure against a background of gray and black tones. The masterful use of the technolitic print technique reveals various textures—from fine mesh to deep, sculptural gouges—which lend the piece metaphysical depth and mystery.
