Amadou Opa Bathily - b. 1985, Mali
The artist is renowned for his extraordinary ability to compose pieces using leather, metal and recycled materials, creating the illusion of lightness and plasticity. His art allows him to capture the poetry of everyday life, it’s fragility and temporality. Most of the paintings are inspired by traditional leather costumes of Donzo Ton – hunters who possess special abilities and balance intelligence with wisdom.
