Vytautas Klemka (1924–1991, b. Ridikiškis, Lithuania) was a Lithuanian sculptor, printmaker and painter. He studied at the Kaunas Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts from 1946 to 1948. From 1961 to 1977 he taught at the Stepas Žukas Technical School of Applied Arts in Kaunas. His work spans engraving, etching and aquatint as well as oil, watercolour and pastel. His main subjects were people and nature, and he made many views of the Lithuanian seaside. His early works were realistic with a subtle stylisation, while in the 1980s his manner became more romantic and poetic. His drypoint “Girl and Horse” (1986) and his portraits of prominent Lithuanian cultural figures from the late 1970s and 1980s are among his known works. He exhibited from 1953 in Lithuania and abroad and held solo exhibitions in Kaunas and Vilnius. His works are held by the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art, the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and the Rokiškis Regional Museum. He died in Kaunas in 1991. The tempera “Still Life” (1963), offered by TUMO Gallery, belongs to the earlier, realist period of his work.
