From 1962 to 1990 he was art director of the magazine “Moteris”. Jucys was an exceptionally prolific printmaker and is best known for his bookplates: he created around 700 ex libris, most of them in linocut. His prints combine folk art motifs with humour, expressiveness and bold cross-hatching. He illustrated around 15 books and designed some 100 books and museum publications. From 1962 he held more than 30 solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. He also organised exhibitions of Lithuanian ex libris and initiated the international Vilnius Ex Libris Biennials, first held in 1977. His later works include the 30-print cycle “Homo Sum” (2006–2009). His works are in the collection of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art. He died in Vilnius in 2016. The small linocut “Boats” (1958), offered by TUMO Gallery, is an early work in the technique that defined his career.
