Seakamela spent his childhood in Tembisa, Johannesburg. Early on, the artist studied engineering graphics and design at school. Later on, he studied Fine and Applied Art at the Tshwane University of Technology, receiving his diploma in 2015. More recently, he went on to participate in an exhibition at North West University Gallery in Potchefstroom. In 2021, he presented his debut solo exhibition at Kalashnikovv Gallery, Johannesburg. The figures in the paintings, often referred to by the artist as “his circle”, are faceless beings of ambiguous gender. Through his art, the artist is conducting research into human identity in consumer society as well as the definitions, manifestations and effects of discrimination and genderism.
