Collection: MEDIATORS | EXHIBITION

The exhibition MEDIATORS presents works by eight contemporary African artists that become documentation of a continent reflecting upon itself, serving as a bridge between the past and the present. The exhibited paintings and sculptures synthesize rich cultural heritage, reflections of the continent's history, and a poignant contemporary perspective. Artists interpret the essence of the continent, the cultural and economic transformations experienced, and explore the emotional state of humanity. By delineating the boundaries of their own identities and simultaneously engaging in intercultural dialogue, they boldly step beyond their own borders and encourage a reconsideration of the prevailing myth about the African continent.

The exhibition takes place at Tumo Gallery, Užupio St. 19, from February 3rd to 26th, 2023, with the following hours: Wednesday to Friday 12:00-19:00, Saturday to Sunday 12:00-18:00.
