Bronė Mingilaitė-Uogintienė (1919–1983), born in Petrograd (now Saint Petersburg), was a Lithuanian painter. She studied at the Kaunas Art School from 1936 to 1940 under Petras Kalpokas and Justinas Vienožinskis, and graduated from the Vilnius Art Academy in 1943. From 1947 to 1953 she taught at the Vilnius Art Institute (from 1951 the Lithuanian Art Institute). She painted portraits, still lifes and landscapes, building her pictures on an expressive rhythm of colour patches and using subtle colour nuances to create mood. Among her best-known works are portraits of the writer Kazys Boruta (1963) and the opera singer Gražina Kaukaitė (1973), as well as “Barbora Radvilaitė” (1975). Her still lifes include “Daisies” (1959), “Tulips” (1965) and “Sunflowers” (1978), and her landscapes “Antakalnis in Bad Weather” (1943) and “By the Neris” (1963). She held solo exhibitions in Vilnius, Kaunas, Panevėžys and Šiauliai, and a retrospective of her work was shown in Vilnius in 2011. Her paintings are held by the Lithuanian National Museum of Art. She was the mother of the painter Bronius Uogintas. The painting “Jakubonis Family” (1964), oil on canvas, offered by TUMO Gallery, is a group portrait from her mature period, when portraiture was central to her work.
