Collection: Alic Brock
b. 1992, USA
Alic Brock is a self-taught artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Known for his ultra-precise airbrush technique, Brock manipulates iconic imagery—often sourced from the internet—through digital alterations before translating them onto canvas. His process involves "chopping and screwing" visuals, distorting and skewing stencils to create a sense of unease and transformation in his compositions.
Favoring pop-culture figures such as basketball players and musicians, Brock also draws from art history and less conventional athletic subjects, like runners and wrestlers, whose dynamic movements he amplifies. His hyper-saturated color palette, combined with repetition and inversion, turns his paintings into meditations on digital communication and visual overload, reflecting the increasingly blurred boundaries between physical and digital realities.
